Petria Grey
Petria Grey is an orphan who wound up in Esk after her parents couldn't afford to feed her. She now generally does odd jobs around the town, many of which are provided by Professor Moretty. Robyn is also teaching Petria how to fence.
While she tends to be very happy, friendly, smiley and bouncy, Petria isn't afraid to tell people what she really thinks. She's open and honest, though she does take people's feelings into account when she's speaking. She's also pretty playful and caring for those around her. It seems that everyone knows Petria, but then Esk also seems like a small town where everyone knows everyone.
Her hair style is a short bob, which is very uncommon in the current Victorian setting (as pointed out by Jonas). She had it cut off for the purpose of selling it.
